INTERIOR NOW
I enjoyed discovering the bold choices of studio La fotosintesi . I’m always up for a little playful Italian glamour. Can be a tricky one to pull off without the italian room proportions and inherited period features but still a great lesson in contemporary and traditional juxtaposion.

I actually love when a trend has it’s moment and everyone’s moved on, it’s less zeitgeisty and you feel your genuine appreciation isn’t clouded by the ‘hotlist’. It’s definitely how I feel about terrazzo these days, I love this yellow toned one above, obvs original Italian terrazzo is completely timeless. If you are uk based and after something with a similar feel Claybrook’s Cornucopia Sunflower may hit the spot and of course there is Mosaic Factory’s fantastic Estezza terrazzo collection
Red and a lilac blue with glossy vintage veneers, yes please. I’m not sure I could ever lean gold without if being in a real hard metal finish but it works perfectly here and that’s no easy feat.
INTERIOR NOW
@galerie.steinitz Interior on AD france . Some of this Parisian home leans a little traditional for me but there are little moments of genius that I feel really inspired by. The first being wallpapered doors! ..I love the secret portal feel they give.

amazing antiques …
and the amazing combination of dusty pink walls, rich veined yellow tiles, powder pink tub and artfully placed maroon towel. Love how this marble also looks like a map.
The juxtaposition of this acrylic head (with my favourite Nicola L feel) and contemporary rug combined with traditional wallpaper ( that of course matches the curtains) and joinery /doors with fabric lining.
INTERIOR NOW
I’ve posted a bedroom by Studio Asai before. I loved the studio’s contemporary take on cosy. Wood and plaid instantly give that warmth but the additional choice of a zingy minty green stops the scheme feeling stuffy. Farrow and Ball’s arsenic green has a similar punch.

also, enjoying the wrong but right feel of this warm gradient alongside a muddy pistachio green.
COMMERCIAL INTERIOR NOW
Discovered on Wallpaper magazine this office interior by 22reoffice hits all the right midcentury notes. I particularly love the caramel corduroy ( I used something similar in a bar project from Tinsmiths ). The red formica topped tables, with dovetail joint are super, the pop of red works beautifully with the sage green floor and chairs.

The handle below is from another project but its the kind of thing that makes me really happy so had to share it. Studio 22re often produce custom door handles, cabinet pulls, and other small elements in their schemes that help to elevate their projects, the devil is in the detail after all.
ARCHITECTURE & INTERIORS NOW & THEN
I’ve been doing some serious fantasy house hunting on anticamera-location.com . I wish you could learn more about the individual properties but exact location and architect aren’t revealed unless you have some serious interest in hiring them out. My eagle eye can see that you can hire the amazing Eugenia Alberti reggio apartment in Milan though and the Villa Borsani

If you love the above Carlo Scarpa chair as much as I do but have deeper pockets than me I found one here , just let me come round and sit on it on occasion.

wallpapered doors again , 100% my new obsession.
OBJECT NOW
My sweet spot is when art meets function and craft, so I was always going to love the work of Ben Mazey
OBJECT THEN
I enjoyed discovering the artful objects of french artist Yonel Lebovici this month. I’ll always be on board with wall lights that look like a pair of eyes.
SHOP/GALLERY
Maison Cedric - a very glamorous curation. Love the Carla Sozzani Bench but would happily take the whole inventory.
