INTERIOR & ARCHITECTURE THEN
Mario Botta
I love seeing the synergy between an architect's buildings and their furniture. Particularly that of Italian designer Mario Botta's.

Batiik Studio
I came across the work of Paris based designers Batiik Studio via the photographer @bcdfstudio whose account introduced me to a huge amount of French interior architects I had never seen before, all of which were very pleasing ... Batiik especially so.

ARTIST / DESIGNER THEN
T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings
After launching a Madison Avenue storefront in the late 1930s, to sell antiques alongside modern furniture, Robsjohn-Gibbings proceeded to design interiors across the nation for a venerable cast of icons: tobacco heiress Doris Duke, and cosmetic and fashion legends Elizabeth Arden and Lily Daché, among others. In 1944, he established himself as a public tastemaker with his book Good-bye, Mr. Chippendale, which outlined, for one, his opposition to what he deemed the lifeless utilitarianism of modernists like Le Corbusier, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer. Via Pamono
I can't say I'm in agreement with Robsjhon-Gibbings disdain for the iconic modernists mentioned above but below are some of my favourite pieces from his Colosseum collection as well as his Mesa coffee table that really captured my heart.

Hot Wire Extensions
I was initially drawn in by the aesthetics of Hot Wire Extensions but was delighted to learn more about the brands sustainable practices on their website. All the designs use waste SLS 3D nylon powder, a material that is currently not recycled. Inspired by the way a vine grows around a tree, they reuse the material to create organic bone-like structures built around a wire.

Aubespoke
Absolutely in love with the eye of Aubespoke's founder Anna Unwin. I personally have been thinking more and more about the way I wish to operate as a consumer. Asking myself , with each piece I contemplate bringing into my home ... 'could it be passed down and cherished for generations?'. Saving up over time for future heirlooms rather than pieces ( including clothing) that will end up discarded in landfill. Every piece on Aubespoke ticks that box.
